I was just having fun here – like I said, I'm not a dog person & rarely even use " #Caturday ." But it was pointed out that sun dogs are sacred to some people, so maybe it's dismissive to have a "SunDog Sunday" to share dog photos. Gonna delete my poll in a bit. But dogs should have their day! 🐕️😊

That picture is unusually spectacular, usually they are much smaller and irregular. A sundog is whenever the sun shines through a high layer of frozen water vapor, making a small or sometimes large prismatic effect

First one I saw was a portent of snow coming. And voila within two weeks, sure as s@#: there was a snow storm. Have seen them more out west than back in Michigan where I grew up so maybe that's a factor?
