Will the testimony get so bad that Trump crawls under the table, covers his ears, and starts whimpering?

No kidding. I wondered if there would be a time when trump decided NOT to return to the court room.

Trump can't make that decision. He has to be in the courtroom, unless the judge says otherwise. Important family occasions like Barron's graduation can be cause for an exception decision.

That can be mentioned in a request, but the judge doesn't have to do anything. It will depend on whether the trial is progressing at that point and the judge feels that there is time to give.

It is entirely up to the judge. I considered mentioning that. Trump isn't going to get away with any poor behavior. It's a jury trial and public opinion has no bearing as far as this judge is concerned.
