Frankly, I don't give a shit what TikTok thinks.

It is a Chinese owned company and thus - by definition - controlled by the CCP, which is trampling the free speech of its own citizens all day everyday.

If TikTok was genuine, they would cut ties with China in a heartbeat.

They're attacking TikTok Because they can't control it by threatening its owners with legal action. Otherwise this bill is myopic. They could pass a more widespread user Data privacy law that would affect all similar companies. But they're not doing that.

Privacy data laws mean nothing to the Chinese. We can sort our own out. The CCP is still harboring wanted fugitives from the last election hacks. Saying that other companies do it too is not a good reason to let them keep doing it outside of our ability to prosecute.
