Sort of fun question.

Do you still remember the very first person you thought of as your first girlfriend/boyfriend ?

And have you talked to them years later?

Ricky, my neighbor. We were 10 & 12 & rode bikes together. One day he leaned over & kissed my cheek then took off. Shocked me. I rode home & went inside the house. Navy vet. played in a local band. Computer career. As FB friends, we connected over his liberal comments. Died of cancer last year.

No joke, she and that was profound to me in my life, all these decades later, and I am a grandfather now.

I'm also a grandparent - 4 boys. Ricky's wife was broken when he passed last year. The kind words she posted on his FB page sounded familiar. Being his neighbor for 18 yrs, it was evident life didn't change him.
