I'd be tempted to buy myself a tiny house for my retirement. It would solve a lot of problems if only I could find one to buy here in France!🤔

I'm hoping to buy a boat at some point and live aboard, but would consider a tiny house an acceptable substitute.

It just makes sense on so many levels!
Clutter just takes up so much space in your head! Minimalism frees you up!

Also I hate house cleaning, so a small space is appealing in that way. As is the general sense of efficiency and simple organization.

Though the cleaning can be more in a small space, as it seems to get dirty much more quickly!

For me it's mostly cost. Short of living in a car, a used boat is the cheapest home I can realistically get. Yeah, there's dock rental and maintenance, but dock rental at least is a lot less than apartment rental. Plus a home I can move is appealing. There are motor homes, but boats are just cooler.

I envy you, as a woman on my own I'd not feel secure on a boat!
