So while I was tending my houseplant herd yesterday, I was feeling sad that my T'giving cacti (schlumbergeras) only cough up a few buds every year that end up falling off w/o ever opening because it's too hot in my apt in winter, even though I have them in the coolest spot poss.

They're not the most attractive plants otherwise but their blooms are beautiful. I'd had a few bloom with no prob years ago (same apt, same spot), so I got these because they were super cheap and wanted diff colors. They also take up valuable plant RE with their sprawling growth habit 😬

Well this aloe (Doran Black or hybrid) must've picked up that sad vibe and thought: Well here ya go, I'll bloom for ya!--'cause a flower spike appeared out of nowhere today! 😍🌵💚
