You know what I don't hear much anymore? Car stereos that bump so loud you can hear them 6 blocks away. I mean very occasionally, but they were ubiquitous when I was a teen/early 20s.

Maybe I don't hear them because I'm mostly deaf now? 🤔

Hey, if you have a loud car/motorbike that you rev up and down quiet residential neighborhood streets, just know that your amazing awesomeness doesn’t go unnoticed. Like really you’re so- you’re just so awesome. Really so awesome.

I think it just depends on where you’re at. I still hear them and I live way out in the middle of nowhere.

Plus my neighbor 2 doors down drives a Civic so I have to hear it start up at 4 AM every morning and whenever they park it (bc you have to rev the engine when you park apparently? 🙄)

I hear them occasionally. But when I was young, everyone I knew had a 2,000 watt stereo in their car. Every time I pulled up to a light, there was competing stereos thumping on either side of me. I just don't think their as ubiquitous as they once were.
