They just get cheekier and cheekier! 🤬#gophers . Our cats are indoor only. They were already not amused when this was happening out towards the sidewalk. This is basically at the front porch. Visible from the front windows.

Our yard was a disaster; just full of tracks and holes. We finally got it under control after several months. It was the grubs! Our lawn was infested and the moles were too happy to move in. We got rid of the grubs and things are much better now!

Last year we had voles which also love grubs. AND make holes. Before we could treat the yard w/nematodes a beautiful owl moved into the tree in the front yard. Soon she started dining in the backyard and garping up pellets under the tree. Next thing we knew voles were gone. I effing LOVE Nature!

I’ve been waiting to see an owl! I’ve seen a hawk in our yard. I think they prefer mice, which I haven’t seen thankfully!

Interesting that the grubs are involved because we’ve always had skunks that take care of those but the last time the skunk activity subsided (I think neighbors tried to eliminate them) we saw an increase in gophers in the back yard. This year is the first time we’ve ever had gophers in the front

Maybe they're going after pre-emergent cicadas?

I haven’t seen ONE skunk here. I guess they’re not prevalent in this area. I do see lots of short-ear cotton tail rabbits though. So cute!
