What's the standard for whether you keep socks or not. Obv. beyond whether they're in pairs or not?

Holes. Especially that one hole in all my socks because one toenail grows into a point. Just got a new batch of work socks today.

How much I like them, fiber content, and if they are repairable to my comfort level again. I keep some single socks because they can be used for other purposes. If they were hand knit, they will never be tossed.

Used to collect clever cat socks to wear at work with trousers. Still have most of them. That' drawer's really stuffed, tho. Time for a purge.

I chuck em once they get threadbare. Sometimes I don’t notice tho until a toe goes through.

Once they get holes in them I usually throw them out and/or buy new ones.

Mine is stretched, if they have grown to double their size I'm looking for the trash bin can.

At my age and with my heart, they have to be compression socks. Without holes.
