Got a future high schooler so I’m looking at sports registration fees.

It’s cheaper to outfit a hockey goalie and pay for all that ice time than to join cheerleading.

And that’s without air travel to a predicted 3-6 competitions.

And they also dictate 2 weeks/year you can take a vacation?????

In hockey you might get punched in the head (while wearing a helmet). In cheerleading you might get dropped on your head (no helmet). One sounds better than the other.

One of her teammates on her 14U Team has an older sister that did competitive cheer, until she got dropped in her head, concussion protocol, and because she missed a week of practice, they replaced her on the varsity. We’ve been warned about the cheer parents as well
