As a hockey player, Guy Lafleur was one of the greatest to put on skates.
With five Stanley Cups, three Art Ross and two Harts, he had plenty of hardware in his trophy case.

And after helping the Canadiens win their fourth straight Stanley Cup, he released a disco album.

Over a disco beat, Lafleur broke down the fundamentals of the game. He didn't sing, but simply explained the games over the beat.
You can listen to the song Scoring, here: https://www.youtube.com/wa...

The songs Face Off and Powerplay did not feature his narration.

The entire album was only half an hour long, and you can listen to it here: https://www.youtube.com/wa...

The album was produced by Peter Alves and Jack Lenz and came complete with photos of Lafleur in action and a colour poster of the hockey star.

An album release party was held at a Montreal nightclub where Lafleur told a reporter he liked disco but was not a good dancer, except on the ice.

The album didn't exactly tear up the music charts, but it is now highly sought after by both vinyl collectors and hockey fans across Canada.
