Why didn't anybody tell me this before? As I get older, I'm finding the lines for aging is lot more blurrier after 40 than I originally thought. The periods of being perceived as the Mature Guy, the Old Guy, and the Old Old Guy isn't as linear nor as fair as you think it should be.

In response to Bryan.
By 50 I was firmly an "old guy", in my mind. It took a few more years for my appearance to catch up. I'm 59 and very comfortable identifying a such.

Overall, I've had a lot more fun in my 50s than any other time in my life. Less unwelcome responsibilities with more opportunities to have fun.

I'm not living the life anybody else dreams about, but it suits me.
