Maybe I'm reading the comments wrong but I'm offended by the remarks. I lived in a small desert town in Morocco for 3 years & running water was iffy so u hauled it from the well & heated it over a fire or on a stove. Pple went to the public bath once a week & that cost $. Water is a luxury for many

Maybe for people in cold climates round the clock. If you’re in the Middle East (Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait) or West Africa (Ghana, Nigeria, Togo, Ivory Coast) etc, please stop reading and go shower with sponge and soap. 😅

Exactly! And people below the poverty line. People just need to realize that there are people who lack what others take for granted

It reminds me of all the folks that are shocked that I drink tap water. I'm all, "Un, do you know how fucking awesome just being able to turn on the tap and get potable water is? I lived places you can't"

My town in Morocco: iffy running water and electricity. No doctor. Public oven. Public bath. The experience really showed me how much I took for granted and how fortunate I was. And I survived those 3 years like everyone else that lived there.

And people weren't gross or stinky or anything. Folks have plenty of hygiene methods that use less water
