I don't support bragging about killing your own dog, but it's crystal clear some of you have never lived out in the country, where you handle your own business on the ranch or farm. Animals are regularly dealt with like this. It's not uncommon.

That just isn't true. There are many reasons you have to put down animals.

Sure animals you are slaughtering, infected herds/flocks, etc. Companion animals like dogs and cats less so. Generally injury or illness. Age you plan around. Maybe white ranchers are different? I mostly know Indigenous ones
