I think of myself as independent. But always vote in in primary as Democrat. I do not see anyone but the GOP pushing for a capitalist autocracy that runs on economic enslavement of the people.

I finally "jumped the shark" and registered for my mail-in ballot as a Democrat. I've always been an Independent for several reasons, but I'm sooo tired of this GOP BS, I decided to make it official. Have never voted Republican - and never will. Time to stop playing games and pick a side.

As a Black woman whose fifth great grandmother was born enslaved in North Carolina, I do not use the word "enslavement" lightly.

In response to Lisa Moorman.
Well, that's the thing. I live in PG County, Maryland. Very Black, very blue. So I never really saw the need to register as a Democrat.

But this year, there's a billionaire trying to buy the Democratic Senate primary. Maryland has a closed primary, so in order to vote I must be a Democrat.

Done.
