While we're at it, claiming originalist fealty to a ~250 yr old contract written by men who could not possibly have imagined our modern world, and who quite openly set out to entrench wealthy white male power, is pretty problematic too.

It's almost like a politically appointed body determining what is "constitutional" is inevitably politicized and ripe for abuse from those who care only about seizing and keeping power 🤔

Thomas Jefferson thought that the Constitution should be amended every 20 yrs so the next generation can make changes as they see fit. He believed that the Constitution should be changed when society & circumstances change, not on a whim. 6 SCOTUS justices are making a mockery of the Constitution

Completely agree. Not just those justices, of course - they have a lot of help from openly anti-democratic politicians and public apathy/complacency, but ultimately thanks to them America is really on the precipice.

Current GOP politicians are only in it for money & power. They know their policies only help the billionaire class and corporations. A Trump presidency will be the death of the Republic. The MSM isn't providing honest & accurate news. IMO ppl are burnt out & I hope they wake up & vote blue in Nov.
