One of the only things to come out of the Pandemic that has benefitted us all is telehealth. I am a big fan of its use in certain circumstances and utilize it whenever possible to go over routine Lupus issues with my doctor.

I have some elderly friends that I help when they have to go to the doctors. It is really a huge ordeal for some elderly people. Even though telehealth is challenging to them it sure helps a lot.

I escaped Covid until September 2023. I took a home test that showed I was positive. I felt too awful to drive the 30 minutes to my doctor's office and it saved her from being exposed. But she wouldn't prescribe Paxlovid without seeing me. Telehealth to the rescue!

Your experience is a perfect example of new pathways to healthcare we were able to utilize that helped slow down the spread of Covid. In future pandemics, we should remember that isolating the people who are ill is the most important thing we can do.
