I must be getting closer to retirement. A friend suggested downloading Cornell Lab’s Merlin Bird identifier app for my phone, so my wife and I are sitting on our back deck, drinking our tea and watching as the app identifies bird songs. So cool.

App reminds me of Spoutible. So many different voices from all over. Each with their own stories and songs to sing.

Keep in mind, you can go into the settings and delete recordings so they don’t take up space on the phone.

Sent the app suggestion to a friend and she replied that I need to check out Seek by iNaturalist, which allows you to id plants, animals, and fungi.

I will.
I am not a birder, but we get so many birds and half the time I don't know what they are. I do have many excellent books, but those take time to look through when all one wants is what is this bird.😂

Not a birder either, but this is just wild to see what it’s hearing.
