Judges ruled Trump violated gag order nine times. Charged him $1000 for each violation. Must remove the offending post. Weak if you ask me. Not enough to deter a supposed billionaire.

It's the 1st step in the process. Merchan was never going to jail Trump for contempt. He imposed fines & is holding jail time over his head for now. If he continues to violate the gag order, he could order jail time to be served during or after the trial or suspend it altogether if he behaves.

Thanks for explaining it to everyone. People think he can just throw the book at him. It doesn’t work that way
Judge is very carefully following what he is allowed to do by statute.
