The snow is more than halfway melted now. All that's left are weirdly shaped remnants of 20-30ft berms, now covered in tree debris. The brown, waterlogged ground is mushy and will ruin any shoes that are not waterproof as you sink about 3 inches into the permafrost underneath. The sun is bright and

I love that story. I didn't get married until I was almost 45. Never thought I'd be able to do that. I won the wife lottery, too. I'm a handful. She is wonderful.

The best part... is that my wife and I met when I was 7 and she was 8. We were besties. Our dads worked together as federal agents in D.C. in the 70s and 80s. We lost touch around 15 years old and reconnected on Facebook in 2015. We married that same year, in August.
