Your friend wants to go out to lunch with you. They have a history of being demanding to wait staff, not rude, just demanding. They take advantage of every little offering from the restaurant.
Do you say yes or turn it down?

Go to lunch

Avoid lunch

You say demanding, but not rude. Demanding can be quite rude. Without further explanation on how they are demanding it's hard to pick. Do they make you uncomfortable when they make demands? Then don't go. More importantly, do they make the server uncomfortable by their demands. Then don't go.

Not rude as in politely asking for multiple concessions, but still annoying in the amount. Servers never show discomfort. A previous time I took a server to the side and apologized for the friend's barrage and let them know I'm padding the tip to compensate. Yeah, not going.

Oh now I'm curious. What kind of concessions are they asking for? Free stuff? Man, if you have to pad the tip to make up for their demands, you're right to not go. But still, I'd like examples if you don't mind. Just being overly curious (and nosy)

"Hi, can you put this on.." two minutes later, another request, then another, "more bread," then "can I get this redone, it's a little...." and "is that extra?"....

They could have asked for things up front, makes the wait staff redo or bring back their order at least 3 times, as much as 6 (no kidding), never happy....
