Since it was a conversation on Spoutible recently with the bear vs. man meme, here is another relevant conversation about book banning of books that address SA and actively work to give survivors a book to relate to and know that they are hurting, and how trauma responses vary. https://www.youtube.c

We need books about consent and knowing that children can't consent to sex and how nonconsensual acts can lead to trauma response behaviors/habits/harm that can lead to lifelong struggles with normalizing the horror of it, absence of self-worth (can cause a cycle of abuse), or love of others. https:

It can be difficult to reach out for help, or know when to do so. We often undermine the suffering to avoid acknowledging the harm we experienced or the blame we apply to ourselves to feel more in control of what happened. We didn't do this to ourselves. Believe us. https://www.rainn.org/reso...

And to clarify, this has happened and can happen to a child teens or adults of any gender or sexuality, and can be committed by anyone. Normalization of SA and DV can lead people to abuse others the same way they were abused, aka the "cycle of abuse". https://www.cdc.gov/violen...

One of the main ways listed by the US CDC for preventing violence is by "Mobilizing men and boys as allies" -article from CDC above. I would add they need to understand what consent looks like for their own self-protection and to ensure they and their partners are able to have healthy conversations.
