There seems to be a recurrent theme in a number of wrongful convictions whereby the police fixated on the person ultimately convicted, and between them and the prosecutor they seem to concoct fantastic theories of the crime that can defy the laws of physics ways that only a Time Lord could.

It seems like they take Sherlock Holmes’ maxim “When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth”, but miss the first part of it, leaving one to wonder if maybe the prosecutors have never heard of Occam’s Razor?

And, of course, Brady violations are just “technicalities”.
