I'm from Utah. At my 20 year boozeless HS reunion (we had 2) only 2 of us (out of 300 attendees) had jobs so I know LOTS of tradwives. He's spot on

And I had witnessed many women getting married and having extremely difficult lives as homemakers. They struggled with poverty, impossible expectations domestic abuse, lack of bodily autonomy, burnout, and shame.Above all, their lack of choice and true agency kept them trapped in unhealthy marriages

I am so lucky and appreciative to have a father raised in a culture that values the importance of women and children. My mom had a career that sustained us after he died. He taught me "girls first", and I never understood why women didn't recognize the power they had.

Seriously! My mom and dad raised me with the assumption that I would go to a university NOT in UT and have a career. IIRC my mom's first business trip after having me I was months old and she went for 3 weeks. It was so normal that I didn't realize it was really weird for the 1970s
