For those unaware, performing invasive exams on unconscious (female) patients for "training" of medical students without patient consent is an on-going issue. Please make sure if you are having a medical procedure, your wishes to not be treated as a lab rat are known verbally and in writing

Same

I don't answer those questions anymore

Also, had surgery in 2023 in a teaching hospital. I wrote BOLDLY on my paperwork that the hospital, doctors, nor students had my permission to perform vaginal exams while I was in surgery, recovery or otherwise unable to give lucid consent

I have never considered this a possibility. It shocks to think anyone would find this OK.

I learned about it a few years ago and was shocked. Also when I started making sure my wishes for not being an experiment were known

Ewww. I hope that the medical team does just what it is supposed to do. I never thought that someone would poke around for in other parts of my body

This is an on-going issue and "legal" most people are unaware...some find out because they are often billed for the "service"
