Our girl Kes in the #grass
She unfortunately passed in 2009.
Found in the trash with her kittens, they got easily adopted out, so we said we'd take the Mum.
She had trauma issues, but with patience & care she turned out to be the most loving, loyal cat.
Miss her so much ❤️

Her trauma issues were heartbreaking.
She'd gobble up her food up so quickly that she would reflux it back out. She clearly didn't know if & when her next meal would arrive.
She'd wake up highly distressed & disoriented because she wasn't sure where she was.
Patience & calm routine earned her trust.

We had the privilege of spending 8 years with her before her kidneys gave out.
I was so devastated because she was only an estimated 10 years old when we lost her.
I'm happy for the time we had together, but I'll never get over the sadness of losing her.
