I love that on my weekly call with my parents my dad said he didn't want to talk about tfg because it makes his blood pressure go off the charts. Boomers are not a monolith and many of them are just as upset about what's happening as everyone else.

As much as I miss my mom (she died in 2013), I'm so grateful she didn't live to see TFG because it would have absolutely destroyed her emotionally.

I'm sorry for your loss. My wife lost both of her parents in 21-22 and it's not easy. I feel so lucky that mine are still doing quite well for my mom being 77 and my dad being 74.

Thanks. We went through a time in my 40s where everyone I loved was dangerously or terminally ill, including siblings & husband & best dog. My mom was my *only parent. She was just 69 when she died. We also lost my MIL in 2012, so my hubs and I have been completely without parents for a while now.
