This monstrosity was near St Louis, MO back in the day. I remember it was $50 a person, all you can eat. The food was laid out like a lavish buffet. It had a hotel attached. It was weird.

To me, this ark has always been an unintended artpiece on the white flight in the St. Louis area. How they all got up and drove 30+ minutes away, and put down roots there. How, suddenly, the jobs were gone. The brick houses St. Louis boasts about were left to crumble. This ark sat on the divide.

It was not quite that pricey in its early days. I was only there once as a treat for my 10th birthday. It was quite the landmark and was impossible to ignore as you drove over the Missouri River bridge between St. Louis County and St. Charles County.
