I've done a lot of skydives out of Otters operating off unimproved fields. When I looked it up it made sense. They're great aircraft.

They can be until they get mechanical problems, we have 2 to 3 flights a day in the summer, but also depending on the tide too do they can land. I think the patrs for these plane cones from Canada but its just over a hour to get to Glasgow and the only thing that also stop her landing is the fog

Yes, Otters were originally made by de Havilland Canada, but if I remember correctly, they were bought out by by another Canadian company.
