That's funny cause you never see the media talk about all the signs of institutional weakness in the GOP right now.

"While the media devotes much hand-wringing to Republican vulnerability in this November’s election because of abortion, virtually no attention is paid to what’s been that party’s primary electoral strategy since the 1960s: preventing citizens from voting."

A few noted observations on this article. First off we shouldn't assume that Biden and Democrats are not preparing themselves for these sort of shenanigans on the GOP's end. Their tactics while scary have admittedly become quite predictable over the past few years.

Most of the GOP's voter suppression tactics tend to focus on minority voters or those most likely to vote Democrat. They likely have not accounted for all the disaffected Republicans that might be inclined to vote for Biden over Trump. There's a reason why Biden is reaching out to Haley voters.

A lot of the GOPs strategy for 2024 seems to be trying to prop up third party candidates in hopes of siphoning off Biden votes since they likely know Trump cannot win entirely on the MAGA voters alone. That probably won't work with so many third-party candidates crashing and burning right now.

Targeting mail in ballots might end up being less effective this cycle with many Dems likely now switching back to in person voting now that the pandemic has passed. Its not accurate to compare 2020 to 2024 exactly.

A lot of the shown stats about voter roll purges likely haven't accounted for newly registered voters. Remember back in 2022 when there was a huge surge in voter registration in the wake of Roe v Wade being overturned.

One glaring issue with Trump that many in the media seem to be overlooking or ignoring is the fact that his ground game infrastructure at this point is virtually non existent having practically zero campaign presence in several key swing states.
