In 1968, due to widespread frustration with the Vietnam War, the U.S. elected Nixon.
In 1980, due to the Iran hostage crisis, the U.S. elected Reagan.
In 2024, due to frustration with Israel's violent occupation of Gaza, the U.S. will elect a president who values the lives of Palestinians... or not?

In response to You can call me Owl.
Before the 1968 election, Nixon undermined US negotiations with Vietnam. Treason.
Before the 1980 election, Reagan undermined US foreign policy about Iran. Treason.
In 2023 , GOP and Trump undermined support for Ukraine, and Russia prodded Iran to push Hamas to attack Israel.

Same strategy.

Had RFK not been assassinated in 1968, he would probably have been elected--the emergency replacement candidate, Hubert Humphrey, was Johnson's VP and like Johnson was blamed for the situation in Vietnam. Even so, Nixon barely squeaked thru.
