We gave the home ec teacher a nervous breakdown in 8th grade. 50 kids 30 desks, dough, it was inevitable

I still remember my middle school Home Ec course with Mrs. Scheibe. One of our final exams was to make a T-shirt from scratch. It was fun.

I also remember how forgiving Mrs. Scheibe was when I handed her a finished shirt with holes in it where I got a little out of hand with the stitch remover. B+

I felt for all of our teachers once I was older. That school was insane (Butler Middle School/Jr High in UT 1980-1990 for the worst years) because of overcrowding and we were legit feral 😱

A bunch of us met up and swapped stories in front of folks who went to normal-er schools. I didn't realize how bad it was until they were all, "Um, wait what?"
