True story:
Door opens on the last orange line train of the night. Alone, I step into the car. Totally empty, except about 6 or 7 young, Black men. If they were all white, I would've gotten on a different car. I don't.
Train takes off and they start singing acapella to the end of the line. #Boston

In response to Karen Springer.
For the many years I spent riding the MBTA late at night I never felt unsafe. Most fellow riders were friendly, cordial and interesting, and entertaining. But I can't say that would be the case for women. That's certainly not for me to postulate.
