I gotta say it *was* a good day. Relaxed on the porch all afternoon...played music at the festival...Melissa & I went out to eat, which we rarely get to do...walked around town, saw friends, listened to more music...even spent some time at the frog pond up the street from our house (sound on!).

Where are you/ what kind of frogs? I don’t think I’ve ever heard such a high pitch.

New Hampshire – they're spring peepers, which are endemic to eastern north america.

I’ve only lived as far north as Virginia on the east coast, so I don’t think I heard them.

The map I just looked at shows them down there & further south...but I've always heard they're most common in New England. Such a classic sound of spring here.
