When we hold students to higher account than Netanyahu we have lost the narrative.

I agree that a lot of the response to the protests has been over the top. However, just out of curiosity, how would you propose that the US gov't hold Mr. Netanyahu "to account" when he is not only not a citizen of the US and not subject to its laws, but is also the leader of a sovereign nation?

Like every other thug we deal with. Sanction them until he is ousted. He is no merely using this "war" to remain in office, when the majority of his citizens no longer have confidence in him.

The majority of his citizens already want him out. Unfortunately, most of the more effective sanctions would violate long-standing agreements/treaties, which Mr. Biden can't legally do right now. I'm not saying those couldn't be changed, but for the time being most of the work has to be done BTS.

But to channel that those agreements will be up for consideration is a step. Other countries would follow suit. That would make its citizens put pressure on the government. Longstanding is a political term used to say, "our hands are tied." We know that is never the case. We deal in territory.
