I feel like a lot of us are missing, and WANT not to see, that The Fetid Sepulchre wants nothing more than he wants Merchan to stick him in a cell, even if only for a little while, and he is working hard to get in one.

(He thinks) that would re-energize his flagging base.

I'm happy to take that risk.

I don't disagree. I just feel like it's too obvious he's dying to be a martyr, and it feels (I know my perspective is limited) like nobody's acknowledging that.

I think you are right, yet the judge will have to do this by the book, and I think Trump overestimates how much his messiah shtick will carry.

IMO what he wants doesn’t matter, if he keeps endangering witnesses and jurors. Even if it does reenergize his flagging base, so be it. Let them try, they’ll only make it easier for authorities to arrest and charge them too.

I'd like that, but it just seems like one more opportunity to feel disappointed and frustrated at the slow creak of the wheels of justice... my main thing is let's focus on the END of the trial. I suppose I need to keep faith. I know a lot feel that's pretty pie-eyed.
