#AltText is crucial to give context for users who are unable to view images, which can happen for any number of reasons.

You don't have to write a masterpiece .. pretend you're talking on the phone with a friend, and you're describing the image to them. It doesn't take long, and it's inclusive 👍

So, I know I'm banging on about this! However, tomorrows #DailyPictureTheme will be a bit different.

Spout any picture you like, I just ask that you add #AltText to your picture, don't worry if it's good or bad, just give it a go.

If everyone who sees this can echo that would be great!

In response to Dave Plus Coffee (he/him).
that's a problem I have
sometimes I am not sure how to describe something or if it's a written statement, I can't see it once you hit the alt text tab to copy it verbatim

You might try having the image up in another tab (on the web site) or in another app, like your phone camera (in the app) so you can switch over to view it while you're writing your description. Or write the description separately in a Notes app or something, then copy/paste into the #AltText box 👍
