Correct! Mine is Samsung. Ice maker was faulty from the get go. Warranty and, more importantly, the warranty repair company, saved my ass. Took 3 visits over 18 months before Samsung corrected the design flaw and a new, revised design ice maker was installed.

True. Our seven-year-old Samsung refrigerator’s icemaker finally gave up the ghost. It never really worked and we replaced the actual unit twice (the second time they charged us $350.00 plus labor, it lasted six months). Yesterday we bought a big bag of ice. Don’t buy Samsung. 🤬

You’re lucky. They flat out told me there was “no design flaw in our icemaker,” and offered to fix it for the labor costs. That was the first time. The second time they charged us $350 + labor. The third time I called they suggested I did something to break the unit after that we stopped calling. 🤬
