The major platforms can do it, but they choose not to do it.
Tom Cee @tomc
How is it that you manage to implement this stuff whereas much larger platforms cannot seem to do it? Is it lack of will on their part, or is there a technical reason?

X developed Community Notes. A Wired article exposed how their Community Notes could be easily manipulated. So they ran a contest to find “winners” to build them a misinformation buster. I sure hope those 4 kids that won get paid.wonder how long it will take to only be half as good as Spoutible?

Where "manage" = choose = *not a #HostileForeignInterference op* (unless Harry and Meghan are running one?).

Parenthetical levity aside, the dearth of awareness about this is sad.

Maybe the dearth is due to denial.

I am so encouraged by Spoutible's growth. I wish I invested more when that window was open. Will there be another chance for users to invest?

The other platforms do not see their role as a vehicle of truth ... they see themselves more as purveyors of chaos and division in pursuit of profit.

Is there maybe a way to make true statements versus false statements immediately apparent? Maybe if the statement is true the "accuracy alert" banner could be green?

Regardless of that, this is so much better than community notes!

Hmm, interesting idea -- traffic light, green for TRUE, yellow for MIXED, red for FALSE. Maybe just inserting an emoticon first thing would work?

It's their choice not to, that makes me not trust their intent one iota.
