We once believed we were alone in the universe.

Then we learned more, but distance still meant contact with other worlds is still impossible, making us isolated & functionally alone.

Now comes news about cosmological structures (nuanced black holes for example) that could pierce distance barriers.

Erm no.
Black holes, regardless of size, are point sources of extreme gravity that draw mass from all directions in to the center. There is no pathway out.
Wormholes, however, with a huge stretch of the imagination, could do the job... 🙂

There's new info coming.

My point is that we once were certain we were alone.
Now we're certain we're too distant for anyone to reach us IF there are other intelligent life.
We seem to be on the verge of new info that could project ways around travel barriers.
