Bing is working well for me. People seem to have forgotten Microsoft and others were in the search business before Google existed. 😏

Maybe, but I’m sticking with DuckDuckGo. Prefer not to have my searches tracked.

When you use DuckDuckGo and Google, you see easily how Google tries to manipulate its search results in favor of establishment politics. Plus Google has violated the principles they initially established when they originally started their search function.

Here’s the deal, branding and what people remember. What is Bing and why should I remember it over googling?

It's already happened in my office:
• Google has become Commodore-64 & TRS-80 slow.
• The 1st page of results are almost entirely useless ads.
• Once you excavate 'neath them, the "legit" results are too often apropos to the search string Google *wanted* you to have submitted, not the one you did.

Already using Bing. For those complaining about the RW news MSN feeds you, you can tell it to block those news outlets.

Some corporations are blocking Bing, because they do not want an AI looking at ANY of their internal data.

I'm sticking with my tried and true Google for now. I distrust Bing and all the others. I'm old and I don't adjust well to change I guess. I did bookmark your spout though.

Click on the... vertical ellipsis in the upper right corner of the spout, you'll get a menu where pinning a spout is one of the options.

I’m willing to believe Bing was rubbish in 2009, but I started using it over a year ago when I switched to Edge and never found a reason to switch my default home back to Google. With the AI now it’s amazing.

(2/2) Also worth discussing: kids do not know how to search, but there’s no pain/penalty for doing it wrong, and hence no feedback. No feedback, no improvement, so it’s an undiagnosed and under the radar problem. Teachers are also out of the loop.

I don’t care which one is better. I care which one is better for me. DDG.

Also doesn’t bother me if my first search isn’t perfect. Seeing the near misses is useful in its own way.

Unless websites pull their info from Bing’s crawler because it is hurting their traffic.

The second most popular search engine? Talk about cutting of your nose to spite your face.

For most product & service sites it's better your traffic drops off if your engagement increases.
