To be clear. Biden cannot pardon Trump for state-level crimes. So, if anyone were to assert he could/would are wrong. Only federal crimes. Governors of those states, however, can pardon Trump. GA's governor is Republican Brian Kemp. Gov Hochul in NY is a Dem (tho some consider her a DINO)

Kemp can't do it alone, under current GA law. There's a state body that decides on clemency and pardons. Not sure if it's in the state constitution or if it's something their seemingly corrupt GOP legislature can change.

Thanks for the clarification. I assumed the parole board in GA could, which is likely GOP controlled too.

I found it interesting when I first heard it, back when Fani Willis was setting up the original grand jury. As far as I know, in most states, the governor can wave a hand and make state convictions go away - it was interesting that they couldn't, in Georgia.
