Very profound. I proudly labor and get compensated. It's not who I am; it's just what I do. A chore, a job. Companies are attempting to turn jobs into lifestyles. If everything is filtered through the job; what happens if you get laid off? Work, life balance needs to tilt towards life.

With luck, you do something that doesn't make you sick and pays well enough.

15 years ago I had my dream job. Loved it, good pay. I quit so my wife could follow her dream in another city.

6 years pass... we moved back. It took 5 more years before I got the same job I left, with the same group.

Even those of us lucky enough to be able to love their work don't love every aspect of it, every day of it. Sometimes we actually hate what we produced for that particular client, but we did it anyways, and got paid. And moved on.

Exactly! I love aspects of my job. I don't like the other duties as assigned. I push through chanting it all pays the same.
