Advances in science are frequently controversial..... especially something with the implications of gene splicing and altering. But I believe in science and the ethical application of scientific advancements.

I am also willing to believe scientists are generally acting in good faith, though that gets knocked around sometimes (eg as in the history of #eugenics .

I’m certain we are in agreement … I tend to quibble over words though.
I am happy to “accept” findings of science, as distinct from “believe” them and with the caveat “as understood today” , knowing tomorrow might overturn at least part of them.
