I don't know Ukrainian but have a Ukrainian co-worker. Her handwriting in her language is beautiful. She drinks kvass and her favorite book in Ukrainian is "Marusia Churai." Best wishes on Ukrainian and Spanish!

My Spanish is okay enough to get around Guatemala last month, and I'm working on learning Moroccan Darija to speak to my husband's family. It's really hard 😢

Kdeira, lbas aleek? Darija is pretty tough, but what I found was a good foundation in Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) makes Darija easier. If you just want to dive in, "The Routledge Introductory Course in Moroccan Arabic" is the best text out there.

Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Marathi, Gujarathi, Portuguese. Add a little bit of French, Bengali, Telugu, Konkani to that. Advantages of living in a multilingual country. :)

I watched Shantaram, a series that takes place in Mumbai in the 1980s. Only phrase I remember: Danyava. Is that Thank you? Is it Marathi or Hindi?

Very cool. Someone taught me how to do BS in sign, and I learnt the alphabet in school. All forgotten now. Is their an app that teaches ASL?
