HEALTH ALERT: A sugar replacement used in many stevia, monk-fruit, keto and other reduced-sugar products marketed for weight loss and diabetes has been linked to stroke, heart attack and early death.
Erythritol is the largest ingredient by weight in many "natural" stevia and monkfruit products

Thanks for bringing attention to this. I use Stevia in the Raw, which does not list erythritol, however, a year ago I was given a case of some tins of sweetner cubes which I used. These were a stevia leaf/monk fruit combo and I see that erythritol is listed. 🤨

I bring this forward as an 'abundance of caution note.' This is just one study and they were most concerned about individuals who had been diagnosed with diabetes as being most at risk but as we are all using more of these ingredients in or diets I think it's important to know potential red flags.

People need to stop eating fake stuff. If you want sugar, I think taking a bit of real sugar is not the worst thing in the world. Just don't overdo anything, even water.
