To the doctors who say they don't feel comfortable treating LGBTQ patients...

Find another profession.

No need. They can simply live in fascist states around the country and enjoy all the bigotry they want. The Hippocratic Oath is moot. Unless or until we stop this rise of fascism around the world, specifically in the US, we’ve no right to whine about its outcomes.

Not that they would ever listen to logic, but I felt uncomfortable with my first student in a wheelchair and my first blind student and first non English spkg in my English class, first gay and non binary students, but professionals learn and grow. It's expected.

I’m sure there are plenty who don’t feel comfortable treating bigots but they push through cause they are professionals.🤬

Yep... isn't their motto "do no harm". I don't recall any addendum "... but if you feel uncomfortable, you can decline care... "

I don't even see how that's possible given that by law even those w/o either money or insurance still have to be treated.. Unless this is just for PCP/providers alone..?
