Regarding the toxicity of twitter. A common trait toxic abuse there was attacking peoples looks, body shaming, and malicious reinforcment of patriarchal standards.

Im seeing that show up here regarding MTG and Huckabee-Sanders. Unacceptable in progressive spaces. Hoping we all do better.

I so agree. Mockery & satire are fine but dehumanization and looksism aren't. 3 years of baboon memes are not.

Dehumanization is a fascist move that can kill.

Plus creativity & originality is appreciated.

Yes, yes, yes, a hundred times over...
It's possible to be intensely passionate advocates and allies without resorting to name-calling and body-shaming, etc....
If going high when others go low isn't your thing, then at least go neutral or stick to the facts.
Thanks - less toxiicity is the goal

Ageism, too. Just because I’m a boomer, doesn’t mean I’m a “BOOMER” staring at Fox all day.

I’m physically working on turning our district blue instead.

I agree! Attire preferences is one thing, but people's looks and body shaming? I will never go there.

Their ugly and abusive beliefs don't need any embellishment and are sufficient indictments of their character.
