In 1847, the bullet was invented.

Thus, the Second Amendment only applies to muskets.

While I agree, I don't like this as an argument. If the same argument is applied to the 1st amendment, free speech doesn't apply to broadcast, internet, or other communications developed since 1791.

Speech is speech. You're talking about the vehicle used to disseminate the speech. Different issue.
