I'll say this about James Comey: while his choices contributed to a truly deplorable outcome, I truly do not believe that he was a Trump partisan. As proven by the fact that Trump swiftly fired him for not being a Trump partisan.

I believe he was a Trump partisan until Trump didn't need him any more, like Michael Cohen and thousands of others that he used and discarded.

That ignores the circumstances of why Trump allegedly fired him-because he refused to promise Trump personal loyalty, or to call off the investigation into Flynn.

You can disagree with Comey's actions during the election without accusing him of a conspiracy for which there is no real evidence.

Suffice to say, I have long thought it somewhat ridiculous that virtually the only thing that Trumpers and Clinton supporters agree on is that James Comey was working for the other team.

The evidence is how he treated the two criminal investigations publically, knowing full well that it would compromise the election. Do people need a handwritten note saying, "I did the crime?" He did Trump's bidding up until he wouldn't cross a line Trump wanted him to and got thrown under the bus.
